How To Be Productive
What is Productivity?
Before going further, I will like to literally define Productivity ; which of course can be defined in numerous ways. But for me “it is the number of output you are able to produce at a given time”.
From the above definition there’s a question I will like us to ask ourselves. What has been your output or contribution to life and the society or those close to you? .
As far as I am concerned, you being busy on the job round the clock doesn’t make you productive. Your productivity is determined by what you are able to bring to the table to better the life of you and those around you.
Living a productive life is living a meaningful life , making positive impact wherever you have the opportunity to. It is said that there a thin line between productivity and success , because both are both determined by the number of your output. But how you effect the lives of the people around you is determined by your productivity.
Keys To Productivity
1. Positive Mindset– A person who feels he has nothing to offer cannot be productive. The Bible says, as a man thinketh so is he so for you to be productive you need to train your mindset to be productive.
2. Stay Positive – After training your mindset to be productive you notice a renewed energy in you making you see things you didn’t see before. However all these could disappear the moment u start to have doubt so it’s important you stay positive at all time.
3. Stop procrastinating – Procrastination is a device of the devil used to steal our dreams without us knowing or conscious of it. Time plays a major role in productivity and if you want to be productive you must understand the rule of timing.
4. Meditate and Revisit your goals everyday – Taking time to meditate and to revisit your goals helps shapes your mindset and pushes you towards achieving them.
5. Pay attention to the needs of people around you– Before you can be you can be a source of blessing to those around you , you must first identify their true needs and how to provide them.
6. Increase your knowledge -What you hold in your hand isn’t enough to become an harvest so make it a seed. Read books and empower yourself before you empower others and make yourself a leader you are born to be.
“All leaders are readers- Harry S. Truman”
7. Get yourself a mentor – A leader must be willing to serve. Look for someone who has similar goal to you . Someone who can guide you during the good and not so good days .
